Demand for datacenter optics has exploded over the last year; 400GbE optics is over 3 million a quarter and 800GbE demand is close behind. 1.6TbE optics are coming fast, just waiting for the equipment to be ready to support them. As datacenters run out of space and power, the demand for optical interconnections between sites is driving demand for inter-datacenter optics.
