In 2021, I made the leap from IC to Leader. ?? Overnight my peers became my direct reports and the job I was so comfortable doing changed entirely. Instead of running discovery calls, I was running 1 on 1s. Instead of participating in forecast calls, I was leading them. For me, it was a mindset thing. Can I really do this, or am I just feeling imposter syndrome? I also felt the need to prove myself, so I said "yes" to everything, which, of course leads to burnout. That’s why I’m excited for Rachel Provan ?? upcoming webinar on this exact topic, the mindset shift for leaders.
