Texas Energy Council (TEC) wants to thank our incredible sponsors for the 35th Annual Symposium set for May 2, 2024, at the Arts District Mansion in Dallas, Texas. ? Texas Energy Council is a non-profit consortium of professionals throughout the energy industry.?Over the past 35 years, the Symposium has provided attendees with various topics directly related to the energy industry, be that oil, gas, wind, solar, geothermal, nuclear, and potential new fuel resources.?Our Annual Symposium is the primary source of fund raising to support the scholarships handed out every year to college students across Texas. Our Board members work collectively to provide an exciting line up of speakers and panelists to discuss the most relevant financial, legal, and technical challenges facing the energy Industry. ? This year’s Symposium focuses on “Energy Today” and will include topics of discussion from Lithium to Bitcoin to Artificial Intelligence.?The Symposium will also discuss energy education within Texas’ school system with speakers from the State Board of Education, as well as University and public-school educators in support of TEC’s Education Initiative.? ? The TEC’s Education Initiative creates and disseminates energy curriculum, aligned with TEKS standards, to kindergarten through 12th grade students throughout Texas.?These topics include types of energy resources, cost-benefit analysis, reducing global energy poverty, and explaining the critical role of energy. Teachers also receive Continuing Education hours for participating in TEC’s Lesson Plan Instruction. ? Affordable, reliable energy is the lifeblood of Texas and our nation: powering our vehicles, heating our homes, essential in hospitals, contributing to our clothing, and fueling our economy.?By Raising Energy IQ, we want to prepare students of today for the energy demand of the future.? ?
