As Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week comes to a close, we want to spotlight the incredible team behind our Food Pantry! Meet Dana, our Program Manager, and Donnell, our Food Pantry Specialist. Together, they ensure the smooth operation of the Pantry—leading a team of volunteers, coordinating daily food deliveries, unpacking shipments, maximizing efficiency, and bridging language barriers. Thank you, Dana and Donnell, for your commitment to supporting our neighbors and always going above and beyond.

We’re thrilled to kick off our Second Annual Shelter Collection Drive! This winter, we aim to gather 500 essential items to support over 100 shelter residents, providing comfort and care through the coldest months. With emergency shelters across Pittsburgh at full capacity, the need for immediate assistance is critical. By joining this effort, you’re helping build a community that takes care of its own—neighbors supporting neighbors when it’s needed most. ? How to Get Involved:? For some of our participants, it can be the first time they are away from communities they have been a part of before, it can be the first time there are empty seats at the table." For those experiencing homelessness, the holidays often bring additional challenges, including emotional strain, increased isolation, and barriers to accessing essential services.? ? Eric, our Assistant Director of Therapeutics, works closely with individuals and groups within our Shelter Department to build a strong foundation of community and support. No tricks, just treats in the office this Halloween! Thank you to the Wellness Committee for planning a fun-filled afternoon yesterday with Halloween movies, pumpkin painting, spooky bowling, and plenty of sweet treats!

Did you know today is National Apple Day? We certainly did! Our staff across all locations enjoyed a delicious assortment of apples, courtesy of The Wellness Committee! What a great start to a great week!
