"Compliments of Caroline" was created by Brett and Jessica Noteware to honor the memory of their daughter, Caroline Gordon Noteware, who was stillborn at 35 weeks. Both Jessica and Brett are employed by CHRISTUS in our pharmacy. When Jessica later delivered her son, Crash, she utilized the inpatient Donor Milk program at CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances and purchased To Go milk for home use to act as a bridge until her own milk supply increased. It occured to her that some families may not be able to afford this wonderful program and she felt led to help cover the cost of the milk through her Non-Profit in memory of Caroline. After many months of fundraising and coordination, Jessica and Brett donated $5000 through Children's Miracle Network Hospitals to cover the cost of the first purchase of To Go Milk for our families. This go live is timely as October is #PregnancyandInfantLossAwareness month, and we are honoring Caroline's memory with this generous donation. Hunter, Amy and Luke Lindsey were the first recipients of this milk. Hunter was so touched by this, he asked how he could donate to support this program so other families can continue to benefit!

Jon Manis, senior vice president and chief information officer, had the honor and privilege of providing the closing keynote to the Digital Health Symposium of the General Assembly of the United Nations last week in New York City. Thank you, Jon, for representing our ministry on this global stage.

CHRISTUS Health and the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Athletic Department are now official partners. Drs. George and Ioannis N. Liras, sports medicine specialists with CHRISTUS Health, are now the official team physicians of Islanders Athletics. This agreement also designates CHRISTUS Health as the official sponsor of the team. This partnership ensures Islanders Athletics will receive exceptional medical care with the health and well-being of the student-athlete as the top priority. Between Drs. George and Ioannis Liras they've attended hundreds of home games over the years, providing care for over 250 student-athletes to ensure their health and well-being. From its beginnings as Memorial Hospital in 1949 to becoming CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Sulphur Springs in 2016, the hospital has a rich history of serving the community. Earlier this month, CHRISTUS Health celebrated the 75th anniversary with a ceremony and an announcement of a $25 million hospital expansion to continue our mission of extending the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.
