We head to AdventHealth for Children Friday afternoon to decorate for Christmas! We are so tinsel we can hardly stand it! We will also take our first delivery of pillowcases to be distributed. Our sewing elves have been hard at work getting ready! Thank you to Elf M for a job well done! We are a bit shy of our goal of 500 cases, but know YOU can help get us there. You can help by donating fabric, designating a donation to purchase fabric (FYI--Hobby Lobby has 50% off Christmas fabric right now :), or make a few cases and drop them off or make arrangements for them to be picked up. Drop off cases at 817 E State Road 434 in Winter Springs Contact LeeAnn at [email protected] to make arrangements to meet and she will pick them up These cases truly bring a bit of joy and hope to kiddos receiving treatment during the month of December. Part of our Christmas is Coming experience is a visit to Santa's Man Cave! He is relaxing by the fireplace ready to spend time with special ones who knock on the door. He is not wearing his jacket or boots, and each child can try them on! There is lots of magic that takes place with Santa and it is not a rushed visit. The Dream child and siblings can ask all the questions and check to see if they are on the nice list. At the end of the visit, each child also gets to choose a toy from Santa's Toy Box. Need a Santa, Mrs. Claus or?an Elf or Two? Did you know that you can hire us for your personal or office Christmas party? We can provide crafts/games, snow cones, snow, cookie making, story time, and so much more! Perhaps you have friends/neighbors that would like to join forces to bring in our cast or host a private experience here in Winter Springs for all their kiddos together. The possibilities are almost limitless! We can do that for a fee and the money will help us provide experiences for children battling life threatening illnesses. We are GEARING up for a fun time in Longwood in just a few weeks! There will be cars, music, food and of course Christmas Dreams! Join us for Saturday Night Cruise and Beard Contest happening November 9, 2024 in beautiful downtown Longwood! The cost is FREE and is fun for the whole family. We are bringing our Christmas is Coming experience for tours, we are hosting a Beard Contest (prizes will be awarded for longest beard, best Santa beard, most unique beard and most festive beard) and there will be a 50/50 raffle! We can't wait to kick off your holiday celebration in just a few weeks!

We just received word that the little blue stockings are now out and available for purchase at Wal-Mart! You may or may not know that our brand colors are dark blue and white. Blue stockings are hard to find, but each year Wal-Mart gets a couple dozen at each store. We use them as we gift items to kids and at various events throughout the year. If you live near a Wal-Mart and could pop in and purchase them for us, we would absolutely L-O-V-E it! Today is World Beard Day! Who has a better beard than Santa? Mark your calendars, on Saturday, November 9, 2024 we will be partnering with the Longwood Cruise In Car Show for Classic Cars and a Beard Contest! Yes, prizes will be given for longest beard, most decorative beard, best Santa Beard and more. Our mobile experience will also be part of the show--so come and see Santa's Man Cave in person! More details will be coming, but for now mark your calendar and plan to join us!

Part of our Christmas is Coming experience (that is the name of our mobile trailer) is that kids (and their family) get to enjoy making cookies with Mrs. Claus. As a matter of fact, that is their first stop inside! Mrs. Claus greets the family and provides a quick tour of the kitchen and then they get down to business! Frosting cookies, fresh out of the oven, lots of sprinkles, as many marshmallows as they want and of course licking the spoon is all part of the fun! This past year each child got to create a "snow globe" cookie. Too cute! Mrs. Claus and her elves are already working on this year's cookie! We can hardly wait to see what magical design the kids will get to create this December at AdventHealth for Children. NoN-Leadership School happens this Friday--August 23, 2024. This will be a fun day of learning how you can be a Nice not Naughty Leader. If you haven't registered, it's not too late! The day begins at 9:00 (door open at 8:30 for delicious coffee from Hao Bao Bao Coffee and sweet treats) and ends around 4:30. Jeff Dixon, Tommy Pylant, Jennifer Locke, and Al Puglisi will teach us how to have the best relationships as we lead. We can have the best strategies but if we cannot relate to the people we lead, those we lead with, our customers or volunteers, we won't accomplish our goals. The day ends with a panel discussion that is sure to be lively and spirited. Lunch from Napoli's is also included so it is a FREE day of good food, wonderful information and a chance to get to know Christmas Dreams a bit better. Did you know? We distribute more than 500 hand-made Christmassy pillowcases each year to AdventHealth for Children to children who are receiving treatment? We have a network of sewing elves who faithfully work on these year round. So, if you have some sewing skills, can donate fun, child friendly Christmas material or just want to donate money towards this project, you can be part of the Sewing Brigade! The pillowcases are for a standard pillow and there are tons of patterns on-line that you can use.
