Happy 2nd Anniversary, Virtual Acute Care Nursing! Virtual Acute Care Nursing is an innovative care delivery model which allows our nurses to work at the top of their license while taking care of patient's in the acute setting and collaborating with their colleagues who are at the bedside to provide excellent outcomes and decrease nurse burden. Our Center for Women's & Children's Health features private NICU rooms with sound-absorbing flooring materials, dimmable lighting, and climate-controlled nursery alcoves for calm, quiet surroundings. Discovery Day is all about fostering connections, understanding our mission and setting the stage for a successful journey at ChristianaCare. ChristianaCare is proud to welcome Thomas Schwaab, M.D., Ph.D., as the new Bank of America Endowed Medical Director of our Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute and leader of the Cancer Service Line. Schwaab comes to ChristianaCare from Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in upstate New York where he served for over 15 years as a highly accomplished urologic surgeon. While at Roswell Park, he served in a number of physician leadership roles, most recently as chief of strategy, business development and outreach. He was also associate professor of urologic oncology and The William and Nancy Gacioch Family Endowed Chair in Translational Research.
