Twenty-five years ago, Fairlawn CRC in Whitinsville, Massachusetts, started a daytime Bible study for women to gather, share their lives, and deepen their faith in Christ. Today, that Bible study continues to thrive and has proven to be a blessing to both the church and the community. Where do your Ministry Shares go? ?? They support the formation of pastors and ministry staff! Your ongoing support through Ministry Shares helps Calvin Theological Seminary provide an education that focuses on whole person formation for every student in all degree programs. The whole person formation process begins at new student orientation, where students are provided with mentors, vocational assessment tools, internship connections, and much more. This process is continued by weekly formation groups, where students and a faculty leader spend time in prayer and discussion of ministry issues and questions. In addition, our faculty are attentive to the formational questions of each student, often opening class discussions, assignments, and office hours as opportunities for the student to integrate their in-class learning with praxis and their relationship with Christ. Your ongoing partnership with Calvin Theological Seminary through your generous Ministry Shares will aid us as we work towards the whole person formation of each student that comes through our doors.
