Empowering Veterans Through the Culinary Arts. We are food trucks on a mission.

关于我们

Chow is a nonprofit designed to provide services for military veterans through cooking therapy, cookware donations, culinary education, and business advice for anyone from home chefs to aspiring food truck or restaurant owners. Chow honors America’s veterans by providing a pathway for aspiring culinary professionals coming from military service. The transition to civilian life is not easy, and it can be daunting when considering a complete career change. Whether a veteran who has no food service experience or is a retired Culinary Specialist, we get you to where you need to go.

Introducing "Let's Chow: the Robert Irvine Foundation's Food Truck Program". We are proud to announce that Let's Chow will become the newest program of the Robert Irvine Foundation! We admire the Foundation and Chef Irvine's dedication and hard work supporting those who have served -- and of course his culinary talents and business advice! Over the past few years, Robert Irvine has been a big supporter and mentor behind the scenes to help further grow Let’s Chow and our impact. Let's Chow will continue to help veterans start careers in the culinary space as part of the Robert Irvine Foundation. We are thrilled for the road ahead working under the Robert Irvine Foundation - this means we support more trucks, will broaden our awareness, and increase our reach. Make sure you follow their account to stay updated on our journey. --Jordan J. Foley, founder Let's Chow

What an incredible event for our veteran-owned businesses and volunteers!?We brought together Let’s Chow Fellows from across the country to support concessions at the LPGA Solheim?Cup last week in Virginia.?Not only did the US Team defeat Europe 15.5 to 12.5 to claim their first?Solheim?Cup victory since 2017, but our coffee businesses, Voyager Cold Brew Coffee and Killer Coffee Company, got great exposure and earned record breaking revenue. Voyager, in their concessions?debut, earned over $14,000 while Calavera Coffee at their second LPGA event quadrupled profits by earning?over $19,000!?Let’s Chow is not only able to give veteran-owned businesses amazing opportunities, but we set these businesses up for success.?Serving food remotely at an event like this takes tons of preparation from inventory to menu prep to staffing and other logistics.?We could not be more proud of these businesses for all the hard work it took to pull off this event. ? The Let's Chow Fellows also staffed the 2nd Green Cafe and can boast that they were the top-earning concessions stand all throughout the course!?All in all, our Let’s Chow team served 9,200 customers over the 5 day event. THANK YOU to the volunteers who helped us earn more revenue by donating their time.

The Afghan National Institute of Music (ANIM) organization’s Afghan Youth Orchestra returned to The Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage on Thursday, August 8th. We hosted a rehearsal lunch and after-performance dinner donating 200 meals prepared by our Let's Chow Fellows: Maryam’s M&B and Parwana’s Ruby’s. The Afghan National Institute of Music (ANIM) was founded in 2010 to reintroduce music into Afghan society following the Taliban time, using the power of music to transform lives and foster intercultural dialogue. For lunch, M&B made a wonderful meal of Sambosa, Afghan spiced chicken, Kabuli palaw, Eggplant in sauce, and Aashak. For dinner, Ruby's provided dinner for 80-120 people. The meal included Mantoo dumplings, Sambosa, Aromatic rice and carrots, Chicken kebab, and Eggplant. It was a beautiful and extra-filling day full of great food and beautiful music. We were glad to be able to support a community event directly connected to the culture of our Maryam and Parwana who are both originally from Afghanistan. #LetsChow
