Shepherd Center - Marcus Center for Advanced Rehabilitation Symbolic day today, as we lifted and placed a commissioned sculpture into the courtyard of the MCAR building. This signifies how close the project team is to completing the building and turning it over to the Shepherd Center. So that they can then turn it around and provide worldclass healthcare to their patients and families. Shout out to the artist and team that worked hard to get this sculpture designed, planned, cast/fabricated, shipped and installed today. This has been 9 months in the making and went without a hitch today. We're excited to share the successful completion of the BTD Manufacturing facility in Dawsonville, GA, a 162,000-SF tilt-wall manufacturing and warehouse space supporting BTD's metal fabrication operations across the Southeast. This facility sits on a 33-acre site and includes: ? 9 dock doors and 3 drive-in docks ? 4 office sections ? 3 overhead cranes (including a 20-ton unit) ? 300,000 CY of earthwork, over 1 ? miles of utilities, 2 ponds, and a dedicated pump house This project represents a strategic expansion for BTD, and we're honored to have played a role in delivering this space to support their future growth. Last week, we were honored to once again take part in the ABC Carolinas Chapter Lowcountry Build-A-SHED Competition, an incredible event that connects high school students with industry professionals to gain hands-on experience in construction. Partnering with Tidewater Building Group and the talented students from Lucy Beckham High School, our team put their skills to the test to mentor, coach, and help students build their talents in construction. Over the course of seven hours, teams raced against the clock to construct a 5x6 playhouse/shed, competing on structural completeness, safety, and technical precision. The hard work and dedication paid off—our team proudly secured 2nd place! A huge congratulations to James Island Charter High School, Miller Valentine, and KELLER for their first-place finish, and to all the schools, general contractors, and trade partners who made this event such a success. To celebrate Women in Construction Week in collaboration with the NAWIC Coastal Georgia #380 Chapter and AIA Savannah, our team was thrilled to host a jobsite tour of the iconic Manger Building in downtown Savannah, currently being transformed into the luxurious Recess Hotel & Club Savannah. ? Special thanks to LEFT LANE Hospitality for making this exclusive tour possible! Originally constructed in 1912 as Hotel Savannah, the building offers breathtaking 360° views of the city skyline. After its renaming in 1954 to the Manger Hotel and decades of evolution, it's now being thoughtfully restored to its roots — blending historic preservation with modern luxury.
