?? Big News for Nature: ICVCM Approves 3 REDD+ Methodologies Nature conservation is now formally recognized as a climate mitigation strategy eligible for funding through the voluntary carbon market. The Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM)’s approval of 3 REDD+ methodologies for the voluntary carbon market means that businesses and investors can confidently invest in high-integrity approaches to safeguard our forests, driving real impact in reducing global emissions. Project REDD+?targets specific areas for reducing deforestation and degradation, while the jurisdictional approach (JREDD+) takes a broader, landscape-level view, supporting entire regions to meet deforestation and reforestation goals. Nested projects can also integrate both scales, aligning local projects within broader jurisdictional frameworks to ensure consistency and amplify climate impact. Together, these approaches offer flexible yet aligned pathways to maximize impact. ICVCM approval of these first 3 nature related methodologies is a critical recognition of the importance of nature in climate change mitigation. With forests being such a pivotal element in climate change mitigation, we hope this decision strengthens business and investor confidence in nature-based solutions. Forest protection, improved management, and reforestation remain some of the most accessible, cost-effective solutions, offering substantial mitigation potential—estimated to contribute around a third of the total needed climate solution by 2030. This work is also essential for Indigenous Peoples and local communities, who have historically safeguarded these landscapes and whose well-being is intertwined with the health of these ecosystems. We’re looking forward to working together with businesses and investors toward a future where forests—and the people and communities who depend on them—are protected and celebrated ?? #ClimateAction #NaturalClimateSolutions #NatureBasedSolutions #REDD #JREDD #ICVCM #COP29

?? Do you want to understand how the carbon stored in trees is changing over time? Traditional methods can miss the full carbon story, but Chloris Geospatial’s cutting-edge spaceborne technology is changing that. Our forest carbon time series show how changes in carbon stocks unfold year over year, since the year 2000. Whether is removals from restoration, reforestation or growth of protected forests, or emissions from human or natural disturbances – you can see the carbon impact in the Chloris data. This means that you get a complete picture of above-ground carbon dynamics, with ???????????????????? ?????????????????????? ???? ?????? ?????????? ??????????, ???????? ??????????????????????, and ????????-??????????????????????????.
