The last few weeks have been tough for so many in the Southeast with more challenges on the horizon, therefore we have decided to press pause on Team 10% Day. Our hearts go out to all the communities impacted and we stand with the first responders and volunteers helping during this critical time. The new date for #Team10PercentDay is October 22. The campaign website remains open and functioning and all donations made through 10/22 will be honored as part of the campaign. The perfect duo! ?? ??
Meet Joe & his Service Dog, Dandelion (Danny)! ???? Joe, from Millerton, NY, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and has now found unwavering support in Danny, who helps with his stability and mobility, especially when Joe’s left leg gives him trouble. But Joe’s resilience doesn’t stop there. As a first responder during 9/11, Joe spent over 25 hours helping fill military Humvees, enabling search and rescue efforts to continue long into the night. The impact of his service lingered, and a few years later, Joe was diagnosed with lung cancer as a result of his time at Ground Zero. Thanks to the support of Chive Charities (Official), who advocate for first responders like Joe, ECAD is thrilled to celebrate this pair. Team training has been an incredible opportunity for Joe to bond with Danny and learn the skills they’ll use together. "Danny will be there for me when I need him.” Joe’s courage and determination have brought him to this incredible moment, and we are honored to be part of his journey forward! #ECADGrads #TaskTrainedServiceDogs #NeverForget #TeamTraining #OpenDoors #NationalServiceDogMonth #MeetTheTeam #ChiveCharities
