What a blast. The 3rd Liquid Propulsion Symposium is now officially over. This is my 3rd year attending, and I can say with a certainty that this was by far the best of all. The event was packed full of projects, people, and surprises. I met Charlie Garcia and Joe Barnard for the first time. I've got some invaluable inputs on the 3D printed propellant tank design from Charlie. I had the honor of explaining my projects, especially the Chimp Lander, to Joe Barnard. Not to mention, Joe held my engine in his hands for our group photo ?? Charlie and Joe - you guys are awesome. It was great to see Patrick F. from the Lander Challenge again. The entirity of collegiate rocketry scene may have been disassembled by ITAR if not for him. Thank you Patrick. The E-2 Director Andre I. was at the event again. I have been a fan of the E-2 engine since the 2" npt tapping photo, so it was quite sad to not have anything to show to him at the 2024 Liquid Propulsion Symposium. It was such an acheiving moment for me to show him my one year's work. Thank you for coming to the event again! ?? Some people wonder where to get started with the subject of liquid rocket propulsion, and I personally get asked this question quite often. As an engineering student with 3 year experience in this field, I recommend to anyone with confidence these two places: r/rocketry and rocketry discord. This whole paragraph was just to introduce to the world Derek Honkawa, my first ever liquid rocket mentor. Without him I could not have even imagined of building rocket engines myself. I wish I could share his rocket photos, but I can't due to the Friendly Beighborhood ITAR polices roaming around. Let me just say - it was clean. I give huge thanks Flabob Airport, Mark Ventura, Mark Holthaus, Derek Honkawa, and all of the other staff who organized this event. I'm sure everyone knows this, but their impact on the US' rocket industry in unmeasurable. Last but not least, thank you to all of you who came with me. Thank you all for trusting my driving. This trip might have been the best day of my life so far.
