The Chill Data Summit is a community led knowledge sharing resource for Apache Iceberg. As lakehouse architecture amasses popularity and Iceberg emerges as the clear leader in open table formats, we are here to help each other learn and stay abreast of practical know-how as well as theoretical expertise in all things Iceberg. The Chill Data Summit community provides - technical training and troubleshooting, - in-depth discussions on new advancements, - a monthly roundup of community and project highlights, - and opportunities to gather in person and virtually. Active participation by community members is crucial for the growth of this community, and corporate sponsorship to help fund events is appreciated. --------- On February 6th 2024, Upsolver hosted the first community summit for Apache Iceberg users, dedicated to learning about the open table format and lakehouse architecture. This marked the first ever Chill Data Summit event. Boasting three keynotes and fifteen talks from industry experts, the summit saw over 500 live attendees, and covered topics from technical implementation and integrations to philosophical discussions on how to think of databases and data modeling in the lakehouse era.
