Deals aren’t won by a single champion anymore. More people engaging = bigger influence = higher chances of winning the deal. But most AEs don't follow up with new leads from existing opportunities. These leads aren’t flagged. There’s no system to notify them. A key decision-maker just signaled interest, but your AE is focused elsewhere. That’s a massive missed opportunity. But if your team doesn’t see these leads, they can’t act. And if they don’t act, someone else will. Distro has an easy solution to this problem. Our ops team looked at all our Closed Won opps from the past 5 years and found a compelling case for alignment. Time to close was 300 days when sales worked an account alone and 243 days when marketing worked an account alone. When they worked together? 192 days. So how do you actually align your revenue team? 1. Work toward a common goal Align your team metrics with overall business objectives (aka focusing on revenue, pipeline generation, and time to conversion). 2. Communicate more often Schedule regular meetings with your whole revenue team to build rapport and learn from each other. 3. Share insights with everyone Give marketers access to demos, follow-up meetings, and onboarding calls so everyone on the team understands what's resonating with prospects and customers. 4. Streamline handoffs Instead of relying on every team member to handle handoffs on their own, automate the process so nothing slips through the cracks. (We can help with this one, btw.)
