Do you sing with your child? Play singing games? Try call-and-response songs? Even if you don’t have a voice like Whitney Houston, sing anyway! Singing together—whether it’s counting songs, nursery rhymes, childhood favorites, or the ABCs—is a wonderful way to help your child learn. Music is a powerful tool for learning in every language and culture. Songs help children pick up new words and ideas because music slows down sounds and phrases, making it easier for them to hear words and understand their meanings. Your child’s brain grows when they explore new things. The next time you’re singing a song and your child hears a new word or idea, help them think deeper by asking a question. Try using “what,” “when,” “where,” “how,” or “why” to spark their curiosity and expand their learning!

Families enjoyed delicious local food, lively children’s entertainment in English and Spanish, games, crafts, and even a special family photoshoot to capture the memories. Despite this, ChildStrive remains steadfast in our roots and values." - Mary Cline-Stively Read the rest of our CEO's recent message to our community at https://lnkd.in/gx7VZw7M.

Here's a great #VroomTip to turn diaper changes into brain building moments! "Diaper changes are some of the best moments for #BrainBuilding and bonding! ?? As you change your child’s diaper, see if they can follow your face. Catch their attention, then move your face slowly right to left and back again. Do they follow you with their eyes and turn their head to be able to see you? What about up and down? What's the Brainy Background? ?? Following your face (or tracking) gives your child practice paying attention and reaching their goal of seeing your face—one of their favorite sights. You’re bonding with them as well as helping them learn to focus their attention, an important learning skill. ??"
