Lisa has been with Child ACTT since Nurse Practitioners began providing psychiatric medication management for our clients. She assessed and prescribed for the first Child ACTT patient and has helped grow the service from the beginning! In her role, Lisa collaborates within our Child ACTT teams to provide whole-person-focused psychiatric assessments and medication management services for the children and adolescents enrolled in the service.?? "Working at CHA offers fulfillment in a way that is twofold. The first is that which I gain from being a small part of helping a child or family make positive progress and changes in their life now that can assist them in the long term by breaking generational barriers that may have otherwise held them back. Part two is getting to help create new and improved services that are so desperately needed for our underserved youth; services which I hope will not remain local but eventually be nationwide." -Lisa #BeTheHope

Our Heartstrings kiddos loved learning how to sew tote bags over the past couple of weeks!?? We're so excited to announce that the Copfers, two of our amazing foster parents, were recently the recipients of the Joey Logano Foundation's Caregivers Spotlight Award!?? They were among a select group of people chosen as being exceptional caregivers! Read about them below: Floyd & Leigh Copfer have been therapeutic foster parents with Children’s Hope Alliance since 2016. Over the past 9 years, the Copfers have provided both short and long-term placements for many children and youth. There is no challenge too big for them, as they are quick to say “yes” to difficult placements and remain committed during some of the most difficult circumstances. They have helped several children and families in the process of reunification and have also provided guardianship for one of the youth who was not able to safely return to his biological parent’s care. They have continued to help and support this individual, who is now a married adult with a small child of his own. Currently, the Copfers are providing care for two special needs children with severe emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges, along with additional medical needs for one of the children. The Copfers have demonstrated great patience, compassion, and commitment to helping these children heal from their past trauma and stabilize behaviors. They have gone above and beyond to advocate and ensure the children’s needs are met. Both of these children are making great progress in the Copfers' home, and we are so blessed to have the Copfers as foster parents with CHA! Thank you to the Joey Logano Foundation for recognizing and supporting our incredible caregivers!
