关于我们

Children’s Developmental Center is a 46-year-old, 501c3 non-profit whose mission is to empower families and improve children’s lives through comprehensive early support services. What started as a grass roots effort in homes of parents with special needs children, grew into an organization helping over 800 children annually through Speech/Language Therapies, Physical/Occupational Therapies, and Special Instruction. The licensed and certified early intervention specialists at Children’s Developmental Center are trained to assist families and children to reach their full potential. Improving early learning experiences of eligible children enhances their chance for success in school and in life. The Center serves children with developmental delays and special needs in Benton & Franklin Counties of Washington State. While disabilities and developmental Delays affect children from every socioeconomic status, race, gender, and ethnicity, 73% of the children we serve are from families who fall at or below 200% of the poverty level. This means, for a family of four their income is below $53,000 annually. We are passionate about preparing infants and toddlers with special needs...for Life!

Tonight our special education teachers led an English and Spanish parent course on child behavior management. We offered childcare and a light meal to make sure that families can participate. This will be a 6 week long course for parents to build community together through learning about behavior. I am so proud of our staff taking the initiative to make this happen for families.
