There is no better way to spend National Philanthropy Day than celebrating with so many of our peers, supporters, and partners!?? It was even more special because we were able to celebrate our Executive Director, Elizabeth Shackelford being honored with the award for Outstanding Fundraising Executive! Our team knows how lucky we are to have her leadership, but we are thrilled to see that her peers wanted to celebrate her as well. Elizabeth has been at the CSC for nearly 17 years, and has lead us through the victories, hardships, and everything in-between. This is the perfect time for her to truly take in the magnitude of her leadership and its impact as we have officially been in our new building for ONE YEAR.? Help us celebrate all of Liz’s hard work for her team, this mission, and the children of Washington County.??

The Big Biscuit team is proud to be the official sponsor of Q104’s Pajama Jam for the third consecutive year. This initiative, established by the amazing Jenny Matthews of Q104, helps children experiencing poverty have a new cozy set of pajamas over the holidays. For the first time, The Big Biscuit is extending Pajama Jam to all locations throughout Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. If you’re interested in participating, please drop off new PJ’s, sizes newborn to 12 years, at any Big Biscuit location now through December 15th!? I had the pleasure of attending the annual Arbest Child Advocacy Center 2024 Retreat. Having the opportunity to represent the Children's Safety Center of Washington County allowed for me to meet other mental health professionals from across Arkansas and to learn from leaders in the field of child abuse and trauma. Looking forward to sharing and implementing the information learnt over the last few days.
