Our Heart Center has achieved important milestones in short-term outcomes based on STS-defined benchmarks like operative mortality. But true quality and safety should be judged by more than short-term metrics alone. The cardiac surgery team launched long-term outcomes reporting by condition and hopes more hospitals will report similar statistics.?https://lnkd.in/dn8-x3c9
