Join us as we highlight Dr. Zahra Murtaza! As the needs of the East Palo Alto and East Menlo Park communities grew, CHC Ravenswood responded. With families facing long waitlists for therapy and a rising need for emotional regulation support, Dr. Zahra Murtaza, Clinical Program Manager, introduced Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to meet these challenges. Originally designed for adults, Dr. Murtaza adapted DBT for middle and high school students—and even for younger children in 4th and 5th grades. By including parents in the process, families learned shared skills like mindfulness, paced breathing, and emotion identification, creating lasting impact both at home and in the community. Our mission is to transform young lives by providing culturally-responsive best-in-class learning and mental health services to families from diverse backgrounds regardless of language, location or ability to pay. We offer programs for ADHD, Learning Differences & Executive Functioning, Anxiety, Depression & Suicidality and Autism through our schools, education programs, clinical services, robust community education programs and curated online resources. Our goal is to raise awareness, build partnerships, reduce stigma and ensure that no one ever feels alone.

Our Human Resources Fair Was a Hit! We brought the team together for an event filled with fun, wellness, and valuable resources! From spinning the prize wheel and guessing games to creating wellness kits, attendees had plenty of opportunities to win prizes and relax with onsite chair massages. We also shared updates on employee benefits, DEIB opportunities, and resources to support our amazing team—all while enjoying pizza, wings, salad, and refreshing drinks.
