We are so grateful to have been part of the 'Love You More' celebration of Black excellence and love! ?? ? A huge thank you to It's My Hair's Mia'sha Helton & Natae Oforlea for hosting such a powerful event. Our very own Dr. Juanita Reynolds delivered an inspiring speech on what Black excellence means for our community, and our outreach team was honored to connect with families about the importance of quality child care. We are committed to supporting families and ensuring every child has access to the care and resources they deserve. Events like this allow us to uplift, educate & serve the many communities we are proud to be a part of!

Have you been impacted by Gov. Newsom's latest announcement? ?? Starting July 1, 2025, the Governor announced that employees will be required to return to in-person work 4 days a week—which may impact your child care needs, but we're here to help. For nearly 50 years, we've helped connect families to affordable, quality child care. We understand the challenges that may come with order and have compiled a list of resources for those impacted. Swipe through to explore child care options & resources that may help your family. ?? See the full list of resources here: https://lnkd.in/grTdqT-s

Our Chief Strategy Officer, Blake Johnson, joined early childhood advocates in Washington D.C. to ensure children, families & communities remain a national priority. Access to affordable, quality child care is essential, and we’re keeping our ear to the ground to support those we serve. Thank you to Child Care Resource Center & partners for making this first-ever National Advocacy Day possible—excited to build on this momentum!

The fight for equal opportunities for women has always included the right to quality child care. Thanks to the activism & advocacy of so many, moms like Senator Angelique Ashby have been able to pursue education & careers while raising their children. Senator Ashby now pays it forward in the state legislature, championing policies that support California families. As she shares, “March is a perfect time to renew our commitment to women who are raising little ones, while working and providing for their families.” This #WomensHistoryMonth, we celebrate progress & recommit to ensuring all women have the support they need to thrive. ??

This #WomensHistoryMonth, we proudly celebrate Faye Wilson Kennedy—a founding force behind Child Action, Inc. and a lifelong advocate for children, education, and social justice. With over 35 years of dedication as a community organizer, educator, and leader, Faye has worked tirelessly to uplift marginalized communities and create lasting change. She reminds us: "We must celebrate the contributions of women, girls, and non-binary individuals 365/24. I say we start in March but celebrate women’s contributions every day and every month!" Her impact extends far beyond one month of recognition. From championing equity in education to empowering families, Faye’s legacy continues to shape a brighter future for all. Thank you, Faye, for your unwavering commitment to our communities! ??

$23,235 a year. That’s the cost of raising a child in California, per Consumer Affairs. Child care is the greatest expense, costing parents nearly $12,000/year on average. Child care IS an affordability issue—one that can be tackled with sustained funding and better access for families and providers. #innovation #future #education #SupportFamilies #InvestInKids #EarlyChildhoodEducation
