  • Our next Faces of C+FS series highlights Lindsay Muto-Daehn, Corporate Compliance Manager! Lindsay's passion for the human services field began in 2006 when she worked as a personal care aide for two friends who are diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Since then, Lindsay has held a variety of different roles from being a respite worker to case management before joining the Compliance Team at C+FS in May 2023. "Auditing is not for the faint of heart, but I love it because I get to help the people who are actively helping others," emphasized Lindsay. In her free time, Lindsay works at a bakery and teaches cake pop and sugar cookie decorating classes. She also recently started golfing and typically golfs once or twice a week all-year-round. "Lindsay is the kind of teammate and colleague everyone hopes to have," said Laura Yager, Chief Risk Officer. "She is reliable, focused and always willing to help. Her work ethic doesn't waiver and she tackles challenges head on. In her short tenure at the Agency, Lindsay has proven to be a dedicated employee who strives to provide support to the programs and works to create a friendly and approachable compliance environment." Thank you, Lindsay for being a valuable asset to the C+FS team!

  • This week's Faces of C+FS series features Katie DeRose, Residential Mental Health Therapist! In 2021, Katie graduated with her master's degree in social work from University at Buffalo. Shortly after graduation, Katie joined C+FS and has been working in the Residential Treatment Facility (RTF) Program for almost three years. "The most rewarding part of my job is working with families and children who have experienced significant trauma and witnessing their growth," explained Katie. "I find motivation in helping them work through their challenges." Her favorite memories while working in the RTF Program have been the numerous events planned on campus for children and staff including carnivals, holiday parties or BBQ's. "I think it's special for the children to have these normalized experiences that they may not get to have otherwise," said Katie. Outside of work, Katie enjoys reading and spending time with her dog, family and friends. “Katie is very dedicated and committed to the children she works with," emphasized Heather Gennuso, Residential Clinical Manager. "She is very flexible with her time as well as her approach, which helps her connect with children and their families. Katie is always looking to learn, grow and be the best she can be. Our children and our team are so lucky to have Katie working with them." Thank you, Katie for being such a positive influence on your colleagues and the WNY families you serve!
