TASC provides specialized case management for people with substance use and mental health issues, helping them achieve better health outcomes, disentangle from the justice system, and rebuild their lives. At Chicago Behavioral Hospital, we offer comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services for mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Our programs are designed to provide a constructive environment where patients can heal and learn to manage their conditions. By partnering with TASC, we aim to provide a continuum of care that addresses the unique needs of individuals reentering society. Together, we can offer integrated services that promote successful reintegration, reduce recidivism, and support long-term recovery. As part of this initiative, we are excited to present “Behind the Screens: Nurturing Adolescent Health in the Age of Social Media,” an engaging educational event taking place this Friday. This session will feature Dr. Imran Shakir, Chief Medical Officer at Chicago Behavioral Hospital, a dual board-certified psychiatrist in Adult Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Shakir has dedicated his career to underserved communities and specializes in Autism Spectrum Disorder. He completed his Adult Psychiatry residency at Case Western Reserve and a fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Chicago, where he served as Chief Fellow. He is also a thought leader in mental health technology, contributing to advancements in psychiatric electronic medical records.
