Thank you to CVS Health & Aetna, a CVS Health Company for awarding the Chicago Park District Financial Assistance Fund with a $40,000 grant to continue to support Park Kids unable to pay for after-school programming. This generous gift will give over 570 kids an opportunity to engage in recreational and educational activities while enrolled in our park programs across the city. During the check presentation at the Tuley Park Kids after-school program, nearly 40 kids engaged in a series of wellness activations focused on leading healthy, active lives & making nutritious choices, while learning about healthcare careers. Kids also received a wellness kit equipped with fruits, vegetables, and milk with a recipe from the Chicago Botanic Garden to make their own healthy smoothie at home as well as a water bottle, jump rope, and brain block game.
