ACADEMY DEVELOPMENT SQUAD!!!! We launched our ADS in December as a way to bring our top talent together from 2011’s through 2006’s bi-weekly. We believe this is key to enhance our players development & help push them out of their comfort zone. We have added in our HS Girls with the boys weekly and we will continue to develop this concept throughout the club. Part of this success led to Ibrahim (2010’s) trying out at the Fire Academy this past week for 4 days. Coach Omer is leading up this initiative along with Academy Director Conor Walsh and we look forward to competing against local amateur men’s/women’s teams. This then provides the unique opportunity to prepare our players for USL Pre Pro in the summer. 2025 Convention has kicked off!!!! ?? What an unbelievable night last night. We are overwhelmed with the support as we packed out the house at @chicagocut.steakhouse for our fundraiser. Guests from all over the world came together to celebrate our beautiful game. From grassroots to professional, the room was full of energy as guests mingled for an hour before enjoying a beautiful meal alongside the spectacular views of the riverwalk. Our Founder Nick Mulvaney kicked us off in style bringing us back in time to remember who that special person was that helped us get to where we are today. He introduced our host for the panel from The Lowdown podcast & CITY Academy Director, Conor Walsh. Conor was joined by Girls Academy (GA) Commissioner Trish Hughes, Snr. Director, Youth Soccer Development & Strategy at New York City FC, Brian Walsh, Head Coach of USL League One Union Omaha, Dominic Casciato (2024 Coach of the year) and Head Coach of Canadian League One side FC London, Yiannis Tsala (2024 Coach of the year). Niall Quinn & his daughter and CEO of Team Taca Ash Quinn wrapped up a great night of conversation as our guests from all industries took away some prizes.
