What a celebration we had at Accenture Tower to celebrate the Chicago Apprentice Network hitting a milestone of creating 2,000 Apprenticeships in the Chicagoland area, as well as the model being taken across the country creating almost 5,000 Apprenticeships in 10 Apprentice Networks! It takes a village to pull off a successful public – private partnership like this one and we have incredible villagers including Employers opening their recruiting doors wider, Educational Institutions and Non-Profits providing incredible skilling to our Chicagoland community and our Civic Community helping to amplify the message that talent is equally distributed and opportunity is not… Apprenticeship programs help to equally distribute that opportunity to every zip code. It was an honor to hear from the Beth Marrion, Lester Knight Aon Board Chairman, Kristof Terryn North America CEO, Brent Parton Principal at the U.S. Department of Labor and most importantly… Accenture, Aon and Zurich Apprentice Graduates! Special thanks to Daniel Serota and Michael Chiappetta for keeping all the Apprentice trains running on time over the years. If you weren’t at the event and would like to see a replay, follow the link here to watch the excitement from the day! https://lnkd.in/g4zgA727

Following National Apprenticeship Week last month, Business Roundtable today released a case study on the success of its Chicago Apprentice Network (CAN), titled “Scaling and Replicating a Successful Apprentice Network Model.” Launched in 2017, the CAN is a network of Chicago-area companies working with community organizations to support professional advancement through apprenticeships. The network’s success sparked an expansion to other regions of the country, with a newly launched Southern California region last month marking the 10th apprenticeship network.
