Mercy’s bargaining team is looking forward to continuing negotiations with the Oregon Nurses Association (ONA) tomorrow over the contract covering our union nurses. We started bargaining a new contract in May of this year and have met nineteen times on new terms. Over the past few weeks, our bargaining team has worked closely with our national partners to finalize a proposal and we are committed to a fair contract that enhances recruitment and retention of our skilled team members. Tomorrow, we are offering a strong package and hope to settle the agreement as soon as possible so these benefits can get activated for our valued team members and ensure there is no disruption to patient care for our community. We are so grateful for every member of our team. We’d like to thank the bargaining team and recognize their diligence throughout this process. We look forward to sharing the progress of tomorrow and next steps with our community soon.
