Jennifer Nicely, president of CHI Memorial Foundation and vice president of philanthropy for CommonSpirit Health’s South Region, won the Association of Fundraising Professionals' Outstanding Fundraising Professional Award. Since 2006, Nicely has overseen fundraising efforts that have generated more than $80 million. CHI Memorial Foundation also received the Excellence in Fundraising Award. Established in 2001, the Foundation supports CHI Memorial's mission to improve health, particularly for vulnerable populations. In fiscal year 2024, the Foundation raised $10 million — a 104% increase over the previous year. Its fundraising activities include annual giving, events, grants, major gifts, capital campaigns, and estate planning. Tom White received the Volunteer Leadership Fundraiser of the Year award. He is an active volunteer throughout the Chattanooga community and is co-chairman of CHI Memorial Foundation's "Invest in the Best" capital campaign.
