Our Virtual Care (VIC) model used at CHI Health Creighton University - Bergan Mercy, CHI Health Lakeside, and CHI Health Immanuel are being recognized for innovation as an American Academy of Nursing’s Edge Runner Award recipient! VIC is our innovative model that brings virtual nurses to the patient's bedside to provide support while addressing the industry-wide nursing shortage and lightening the load for our nurses. The program is bridging the gap between technology and human connection. On Friday, we had the honor of cutting the ribbon at the brand new CHI Health Clinic Immanuel Family Health Center! ?? At 40,000 square feet with 68 exam rooms, our new family health center is the largest healthcare clinic ever in the heart of North Omaha. Dr. Gupta joins us from the University of California, Irvine, where he was a Professor of Orthopedic Surgery, Anatomy & Neurobiology, and Biomedical Engineering and Chief of Shoulder Surgery. Dr. Gupta has authored 110+ publications as well as trained and mentored the next generation of Orthopedic surgeons throughout his career, a demonstration of his passion for education and research. His areas of expertise are shoulder surgery and brachial plexus/nerve injuries.
