Inclusion discovered. Work reimagined.

关于我们

We started Chezie because, as first-gen Nigerian immigrants, we know how important it is to feel like you belong where you work. We believe that companies need to internally reflect on their DEI work to ensure that it’s benefiting the diverse employees it’s intended to serve. ERGs are the centerpiece of a corporate DEI work, but too often, they are under-resourced and under-utilized. ERG Leaders are spending way too much time manually gathering data about membership and engagement, which takes the focus from the activities that actually drive employee retention. Chezie is an all-in-one solution designed to help you build impactful employee resource groups. We help you easily and seamlessly track membership, events, budgets, and engagement, so you can focus on what matters - building inclusive communities so you can retain your talent.

With Goals, ERG teams can set clear targets that align with any impact they aim to achieve. Whether it’s: - Employee experience goals, like creating an inclusive workspace; - HR-level goals, like boosting retention rates among diverse groups; or - Business-level goals, like diversifying the company’s client base.

Big things happening over here at Chezie. Today we’re launching our biggest feature yet. Introducing: Goals. Many companies need help to prove the value of their ERGs. Goals are here to change that. Each goal is flexible and trackable, making it easy for ERGs to tie their activities (events, comms, expenses, etc.) directly to tangible results. Users can associate Number or Milestone targets to goals to track progress toward completing them. Consider it as OKRs for ERGs, designed to show how each action contributes to broader company objectives. We’re excited to empower ERGs to showcase their impact in a strategic and clear way.

Co-Founder of Chezie | Driving ERG efficiency to maximize impact

One of the biggest challenges for ERGs in a remote-first world? Keeping people truly connected and engaged. Zoom fatigue (or Teams fatigue, or Slack fatigue, or…) and lack of face-to-face interaction make it tough, but there are ways to overcome these hurdles. During our ERG Summit session titled “Bridging Distance: Best Practices for ERG Engagement in a Virtual First Workplace,” Laura Torres, MBA, PHR shared some effective strategies for increasing ERG engagement virtually: 1. Get creative with virtual events: Standard video calls just don’t cut it anymore! Try mixing things up with interactive activities like virtual coffee chats, cooking demos, or even game nights. Variety keeps things fresh and keeps members engaged. 2. Build a strong communication strategy: Consistent, appealing communication is key. Use newsletters, internal ERG pages, and work with your internal comms team to keep members informed about events and updates. When members feel in the loop, they’re more likely to stay involved. 3. Focus on connection: Encourage collaboration between ERGs and host virtual open houses to give new members a chance to see what it’s all about. For those working remotely, consider recording events for flexible viewing, and organize in-person meetups for areas with high concentrations of remote employees. Creating a sense of community in a virtual setting takes some extra effort, but with a mix of engaging events, clear communication, and a focus on connection, ERGs can keep the momentum going, no matter where their members are based. Did you know I was a mental health social worker? Technically still am! ?? When Dumebi Egbuna asked me to be a guest on Chezie's Intent to Impact Podcast (thanks for having me!!), I knew I wanted to draw from my past experience as a social worker and connect it to my current work as a DEI practitioner leading ERGs at Chegg Inc. We had a fantastic discussion on the ERGs at Chegg are doing, the importance of mental health in the workplace, and how companies can adapt their cultures to meet the evolving expectations of today’s workforce (hello, Gen Z ??). While I wish we had even more time to dive deeper into these important topics, I’m grateful for the chance to scratch the surface and reflect on the work I do to build inclusive and supportive environments. I won’t spoil too much, but if you’re interested in DEI, mental health, employee engagement, or how to support your ERGs and employees more effectively, you’ll definitely want to give this episode a listen. ??? #MentalHealthAtWork #EmployeeWellbeing #ERGLeaders #WorkplaceCulture #LifeAtChegg
