I appreciated the opportunity to share how Chevron Phillips Chemical Company is leveraging the diverse skills within our organization to influence and drive sustained change.

As we honor Black History Month, we are proud to highlight the incredible work of our Employee Resource Group, BELIEVE! ?? Our Employee Resource Groups are employee-led initiatives that foster a diverse and inclusive workplace aligned with CPChem’s mission. BELIEVE serves as a forum to share knowledge, develop skills, impact the community and recognize the achievements of our Black employees. With a footprint across multiple CPChem locations and a roster 340+ members strong, BELIEVE ensures Black employees have the resources to lead in inclusion, education, vision, and excellence.

We believe in the power of giving back and making a positive impact where we live and work. Recently, our dedicated employees volunteered at the new food pantry in Sweeny, Texas. They worked tirelessly to stock the pantry and distribute essential items to those in need. This initiative is a testament to our commitment to supporting and uplifting our communities. By coming together, we can create meaningful change and ensure that everyone has access to the everyday essentials they need. ??

CPChem was instrumental in shaping JonMari Mckinley’s career path. After receiving a scholarship from the Future of STEM Scholars Initiative (FOSSI), JonMari was able to turn his education at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University into a full-time position as a field support engineer at our Pasadena facility. CPChem is proud to sponsor FOSSI scholarship recipients to help eliminate financial barriers for historically underrepresented groups, and JonMari's hard work and success is just one example of the real impact funding a diverse STEM pipeline can have on our communities. CPChem had the pleasure of attending the SEI partner networking event for the Stephen Stagner sales excellence Institute at the University of Houston. We met an array of amazing individuals with bright futures ahead of them. We are proud to be a partner.

CPChem donated $22,500 to Brazosport Cares Food Pantry for the Bulldog Marketplace, a local organization dedicated to combating food insecurity in the surrounding community. ? The donation enables the food pantry to provide nutritious meals to families in need living west of the Brazos River and will purchase essential food items, support operational costs and enhance outreach programs to ensure that no one in the community goes hungry. ? “Brazosport Cares is grateful for CPChem’s support of the Bulldog Marketplace,” said Christy Frey, executive director of Brazosport Cares. “They have invested in this endeavor since the beginning and helped make it possible to open a new food pantry in Sweeny to feed our neighbors.”
