Founded in 1984, CHESSA represents the interests of manufacturers, installers, distributors and component suppliers in the solar and energy storage industries serving Maryland, the District of Columbia, Delaware and Virginia. Our members design, sell, integrate, install, maintain and finance solar energy equipment for residential, commercial and institutional customers throughout the region. Among our ranks are the accountants, attorneys, builders, architects, electricians, plumbers, and consultants that support the solar and solar industries. CHESSA delivers on policy formation and advocacy, market representation, networking, education, and additional benefits to our 180+ members representing over 10,000 direct jobs in our region. We publish a quarterly newsletter for our membership; host an annual solar energy and storage conference, workshops, and a webinar series; and generate targeted analyses and industry reports for our members. We are in a high growth mode: we’re bringing in new members, diversifying our membership services, and raising our profile among state and local legislators and regulators.     For more than a decade, Pivot has been recognizing employees who exemplify our company values through the Sun God Award, presented at our monthly company meetings. Anyone at the company can make a nomination through our online suggestion box, sharing how the nominee has leaned into our company values of Impact, Balance, Determination, Professionalism, Honesty, and Kindness. Each month, a Sun God/Goddess is chosen and presented with a statue of Ra, the Egyptian Sun God. This statue adorns their desk for the month before being passed on to the next month’s Sun God. In February, our Sun God was Joshua Kruger! As one of his many nominations summarized it:? "Josh continuously demonstrates professionalism, always balancing assertiveness with tact. He consistently represents Pivot with great intelligence and skill. He is an incredibly smart, thoughtful, and strategic attorney, and his ability to navigate complex legal challenges with both decisiveness and diplomacy has been invaluable to the company."
