关于我们
Chess Wizards was founded in August 2002 by a group of enthusiastic individuals who decided to change the culture of chess in Chicago. Since then, we have expanded our scholastic and summer camp programs to schools, park districts, and community centers across the United States. Our staff includes internationally recognized chess players as well as education professionals who will cater to your child’s chess needs. The adaptive Chess Wizards program is designed for all levels of young chess players. We divide our students into three stages of learning: Novice Wizards, Intermediate Wizards and Advanced Wizards. Once a student masters their wizardry skills, he or she is promoted to the next level. Our innovative program creates an atmosphere conducive for chess learning while never forgetting our commitment to making chess fun for children. By putting an emphasis on the individual needs and progress of each student we ensure a completely unique way of introducing your child to the world of chess. Our programs are known for their success in helping children build a vast array of skills; ranging from development in concentration, logical thinking and even mathematical performance.

What an incredible summer it’s been at Chess Wizards Summer Camps! As we close the chapter on Summer Camp 2024, we can’t help but reflect on the amazing journey we’ve all shared. Picture this: 2,500 young minds buzzing with excitement across 195 locations, each one diving into the world of chess with curiosity and determination. To all the parents, thank you for entrusting us with your children’s summer. You played a huge part in making this camp season a magical experience. Every morning, as the kids arrived with bright smiles and eager minds, we knew we were in for something special — and it was your support that made it all possible. And to our brilliant campers — you were the heartbeat of this summer. Watching you tackle chess challenges, cheer each other on, and grow not just as players but as thinkers was truly inspiring. The friendships you formed, the laughter you shared, and the strategies you mastered — these are memories that will stick with us all for a long time. A big shoutout to our amazing partners — our schools and recreational centers. Together, we created something extraordinary. Your commitment to enriching young lives is what fueled the energy of this summer at Chess Wizards. Here’s to more adventures, more learning, and more chess in the future. We can’t wait to see where this journey takes us next! ???

Children often have a very hard time focusing — and for good reason. The developing brain struggles with attention span and spatial reasoning and isn’t ideally suited for things like complicated instructions and long days in the classroom. By requiring intense focus and concentration, chess helps strengthen these skills and allows children to practice staying on task. #chesswizards?#chesswizardsonline?#chessonline?#chess?#chessforkids?#chessschool?#afterschool?#chessclass?#chesslessons?#childcare?#daycare?#education

Complex thinking depends on the ability to draw connections between different (and sometimes disparate) things. Chess is a fantastic opportunity to practice complex thinking and to see the results of these connections in real time with real and easily identifiable outcomes. #chesswizards?#chesswizardsonline?#chessonline?#chess?#chessforkids?#chessschool?#afterschool?#chessclass?#chesslessons?#childcare?#daycare?#education
