The Chamber awarded two Trades Scholarships to local highschool graduates that are going on to build tomorrow in a career in the skilled trades. Supported by Electrical Plus, the Chamber's 2024 Time for the Trades Initiative aims to connect skilled trade businesses to rising talent and talent to opportunity. Recipient George Gordon is pursuing a career in welding through a Co-Op program at JGM "When you need it yesterday" and recipient Logan Swisher is pursuing HVAC at Delaware County Community College

This week the Chamber was out at the Romano 4-H Center during the Chester County 4-H fair for our Taste of the Farm event. Ag businesses and the community came together to celebrate all things grown, farmed, and raised in ChescoWest and watched the 4-H'ers in action during their annual swine show.

We we’re so excited to congratulate and welcome Chamber members Valerie and Mark Baker and their team in their grand opening of the Parkesburg Grocery Outlet! The Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce Advocacy and Policy Committee organizes events, like today's Breakfast with the Commissioners, to provide a platform where businesses can raise questions on topics that are most important to them. Today's event, sponsored by Comcast Business, Transportation Management Association of Chester County and Chester County OIC (CCOIC) was hosted at the Chester County Boy Scouts campus. Our County Commissioners shared their 2024 outlook and discussed County initiatives on topics such as workforce solutions, transportation projects in relation to new development, water resource plans and more. This morning our Regional Planning Committee toured Steel City Brewing Co. in Downtown Coatesville.
