With over 40 years of experience in the shipbuilding industry, Chesapeake Shipbuilding has become a leading designer and builder of custom-built cruise ships and other commercial craft. We specialize in building vessels up to 450 feet in length that operate nationally—whether on inland waterways or the open ocean. Our shipyard, located in Salisbury, MD, sits on 13 acres of level land along the protected waters of the Wicomico River, with more than 2,000 feet of deepwater bulkhead providing access to prime waterways. Our full in-house design and construction capability ensures that every ship we build meets the highest standards.
