Top Priorities: Salary & Benefits (39%) – Competitive pay remains a top priority for many professionals. Work-Life Balance (39%) – Equally important, people are valuing their time outside of work more than ever. Career Growth & Development (16%) – Fewer professionals prioritised long-term career progression, but it’s still a key driver. Company Culture & Values (5%) – Surprisingly, this ranked the lowest, despite companies investing heavily in their culture. ?? Our Takeaway: While salary and work-life balance take the lead, career growth and company culture still play a crucial role in long-term satisfaction. Employers need to offer more than just competitive pay, they need to foster environments where employees can thrive without burnout and with clear career pathways. ?? What do you think? What a fantastic morning seeing familiar and new faces, hearing expert insights from Shakirah Akinwale (Data Clan), May-N L. (Faculty AI), Tom Shrive (Adiuvo), and Thomas Stables (Osborne Clarke). Discussions covered everything from AI-driven efficiencies to regulatory challenges and ethical considerations. ?? Alex’s Top 3 Takeaways: 1?? AI is already reshaping the Built Environment – from predictive maintenance to automated tenant interactions, AI is driving efficiencies in real estate, property management, and construction. Yet, adoption is still hampered by legacy systems and fragmented data. 2?? The European AI Act is a game-changer – regulation is coming fast. The AI Act sets the gold standard, similar to GDPR, with high compliance demands (and huge fines for breaches!). Businesses need to get ahead by embedding compliance from the start. 3?? Ethical AI is non-negotiable – AI in real estate must tackle bias in tenant screening, pricing models, and decision-making. Transparency and accountability are key, with businesses needing clear governance frameworks to prevent AI from reinforcing inequalities. The built environment is at a turning point, and AI has the power to transform how we design, manage, and optimise our spaces.
