Congratulations to Cheryl Trask, Senior Manager of Cultural Retail and Sales, on receiving The Industry Professional of the Year Award from the American Indian Alaska Native Tourism Association (AIANTA). She recently received this recognition at the Excellence in Tourism Industry Awards! Cheryl is a leader in Indian Country Tourism. Her tourism career began in the resort industry, where she helped build a successful sales program for a premier lake resort in Oklahoma and other nationally known country club and resorts spanning the US before returning to her roots with the Cherokee Nation. After joining Cherokee Nation Businesses 20 years ago, she played a pivotal role in launching the motor coach and group sales program for our first casino resort, now Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa. Her passion for sharing Cherokee culture led her to shift focus and join our cultural tourism team, where she helped develop cultural tours and shape customer service training that established Cherokee Nation Gift Shops and our first museum property in Tahlequah. During her two-decade career, Cheryl has driven the launch and growth of more than 10 cultural gift shops, museums and attractions across Cherokee Nation. Join us in celebrating Cheryl’s achievements and well-deserved recognition! ?????? Thank you, Cheryl, for your hard work and dedication to sharing our Cherokee cultural and heritage.
