Help us thank and congratulate Chief Marshal Jamie Gianfala who will retire March 15 after serving Cherokee County for 30 years. Thank you, Chief, for your service to Cherokee County and its citizens through your work with the Sheriff’s Office and Marshal’s Office. We appreciate everything you have done to further public safety in the county! And please help us welcome and congratulate Director Dana Martin and Capt. Dwayne Casteel who will assume new roles following Chief Gianfala’s retirement. Director Martin will step into the role as chief marshal, continuing to oversee the Public Services Agency, and Capt. Casteel is being promoted to deputy chief marshal, overseeing day-to-day operations of the Marshal’s Office.
