It was a successful day of meals given to those in Western North Carolina and specifically Black Mountain. Kaegan Parks led the charge, distribution and connection for all of these hearty meals and granola bars!
Thank you to everyone for your support for our quest for fresh meals to Black Mountain in WNC. In all Chef Alyssa's Kitchen made a lot of hearty meals: 1260 burritos and sandwiches 800 granola bars We started a GoFundMe account, received product donations from US Foods, IGF, Inland Seafood and Gilbert Foodservice and had a few volunteers along with current and former CAK team members. We closed down all of our events on Friday to become a production kitchen. Chef Kaegan from our team left early Saturday morning in a refrigerated truck to share in Black Mountain.
