Smart & Final?and the?Smart & Final Charitable Foundation?extend a huge thank you to everyone who participated in this past Sunday's American Heart Association Heart & Stroke Walk in Pasadena, Calif. Over 200 associates joined us from across the company, including store, corporate and El Super colleagues, in support of lifesaving science for heart-related conditions. We're also pleased to announce that we?surpassed?our initial fundraising goal of $6,250, bringing in more than $7,000 that will benefit the AHA's goal of helping us live longer and healthier lives.?Contributions such as these are part of Smart & Final's ongoing support of the communities we serve to make long-last impacts through volunteer activities, fundraising events and other philanthropic initiatives. #WhyWeWalk

Roy is the star of Smart & Final's first brand campaign in five years, and the event comes on the heels of his second TV spot, which is now airing in media markets across California, Nevada and Arizona. Welcome to the family, El Super Bell Gardens! We're pleased to share the opening of our new El Super store in Bell Gardens, Calif. The opening marks Chedraui USA's 382nd location and El Super's 67th store in operation. This is also a special occasion as the store is in close proximity to El Super's very first location in South Gate, Calif., which opened in 1997.
