Our research team recently identified critical Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities on Gallup's website. These vulnerabilities could potentially allow attackers to gain full control over an application’s functionality and data, especially if the affected user has privileged access. Gallup quickly addressed these vulnerabilities that could be exploited to facilitate the dissemination of false information and compromise the personal data of users. Dozens of malicious npm packages mimicking the popular “noblox.js” library have recently been identified. This campaign has been relentless in targeting Roblox developers through malicious NPM packages. This campaign was first reported in August 2023. The malware’s capabilities include Discord token theft, system information harvesting, system persistence, and deployment of additional payloads such as Quasar RAT.
