At Check-In Wellness are always eager to learn about new mental and physical health facilities serving our community so we are able to better serve our clients with the resources available! A couple of weeks ago we had the privilege of touring a new mental health clinic in the Lafayette area that consists of two nurse practitioners Amber Phebus (Phebus Behavioral Health) and Jennifer Wood (Woodhaven Behavioral Health). While they have two seperate names they are located in the same space. Amber has a focus for ages 13+ whereas Jennifer has a focus on children ages 7+. They both treat a wide range of mental health disorders. They also provide Spravato treatment at their clinic, designed specifically for addressing treatment-resistant depression! At Check-In Wellness, we prioritize understanding the resources available in our community to ensure we provide the best possible support to our clients. Recently, we had the pleasure of meeting Katie Dennis at the Indiana Wellness Conference, where we were deeply impressed by her insights about The Grove. Naturally, we were eager to learn more and arranged a tour of their facility. The Grove is a premier drug and alcohol rehabilitation center located in Peru, Indiana, catering to individuals aged 18 and over, with a special emphasis on assisting working professionals struggling with addiction. Their mission is to empower patients to achieve a healthier, more fulfilling life, liberated from the constraints of substance dependency and harmful behaviors. Our visit to The Grove last week was nothing short of extraordinary. The facility itself is even more impressive in person than in photographs, and the staff's dedication and expertise are evident. Notably, they offer a restaurant with an exceptional chef who accommodates all dietary needs. Coping with addiction—whether personally or through a loved one—presents significant challenges. Big Week for Check-In Wellness: Celebrating Milestones and Success!?????? We are thrilled to share some exciting news and achievements at Check-In Wellness! Firstly, a huge congratulations to Ashlie Tislow, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, OCN for passing her boards! She is now officially a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Ashlie’s journey began almost four years ago when she decided to go back to school. Her expertise, originally in Hematology/Oncology, now extends to mental health! Her dedication and hard work are truly inspiring! Additionally, we had the privilege of speaking at the Indiana Wellness Summit on Thursday. The turnout was incredible, and we were both humbled and thrilled to see our room filled to capacity, with some attendees even standing! Despite initial nerves, our passion for the topic carried us through, allowing us to speak from the heart and connect meaningfully with our audience. Also, a HUGE shoutout to our mom! She is one of our biggest cheerleaders! She joined in on the conference with us too! ?? Suicide is preventable, sometimes all it takes is for someone to care and recognize something is wrong. Tradeworkers often put themselves last.
