South Carolina Healthy Business Challenge is a free statewide program developed through a collaboration between MUSC's Office of Health Promotion and the City of Charleston to support businesses and organizations in establishing work environments that promote a culture of well-being and support a healthy, thriving workforce. Through generous support from our presenting sponsor BlueCross BlueShield of SC and regional sponsors Gallagher and Assured Partners, businesses of all size and sector can attend networking seminars and events held in our three statewide regions - Lowcountry, Midlands and Upstate. Q: Outside of work, what contributes to your personal health and wellbeing? A:?“My husband and I love kayaking and hiking—it’s our way of connecting with nature. I also tend to two large garden boxes in our backyard, harvesting fresh, healthy food. Q: What activities or hobbies do you enjoy for personal health and wellbeing? ? Brooks: I love the beach! I stay active with walking, biking, yoga, infrared sauna sessions, and playing pickleball. Exercising with friends keeps me accountable. I also enjoy cooking, always adding lots of color to my meals. ? Kristina: Running and exercising are my go-to, along with keeping up with my kids’ busy schedules! ? Q: What success in workplace wellbeing are you most proud of? ? Brooks: Mashburn has been a wellness leader for over 14 years. I’m proud of our team-building activities, health challenges, lunch-and-learns, and community outreach that align with our mission. ?
