Some experiences leave a lasting mark, and our Struggle Well training at The Big Red Barn Retreat was one of them. A few weeks ago, a group of leaders came together to engage in meaningful discussions, guided reflection, and hands-on learning—all centered around resilience, teamwork, and post-traumatic growth. We walked into the labyrinth carrying what we needed to release and walked out with something new to guide us forward. A huge thank you to the incredible facilitators who shared their time, knowledge, and hearts, and to our participants who showed up fully—being present, engaged, and open to the process. The Big Red Barn Retreat welcomed us home, and we know this is just the beginning of bringing Struggle Well to the business community. As we bid farewell to 2024, we reflect on a year of tremendous growth and impact for the South Carolina Healthy Business Challenge!????? This year, we’ve had the privilege of connecting with businesses and communities across the state through our bi-annual statewide seminar series in the Lowcountry, Midlands, and Upstate regions. From numerous site visits to countless collaborative events, we’ve worked side by side with partners who share our vision of healthier businesses and communities. 2024 also saw the launch of our SCHBC Fellowship Program, the recognition of outstanding businesses through multiple statewide awards, and the continuous enhancement of our programs and outreach—ensuring we’re meeting the evolving needs of South Carolina’s diverse and growing workforce.
