Earlier this month, #FacesOfFuel Taylor A. and Kayla S. spent the day at the Chautauqua Striders STEAM Camp. Taylor and Kayla spoke about National Fuel and natural gas pipelines, and led over 20 students grades 4-8 through a pipeline building activity where the goal was to build the most cost-effective pipeline that gets from start to finish, while being mindful of wildlife habitats and protected environmental areas. United Way hosted a group of Bemus Point girls for pizza and a craft activity on Tuesday, following their day camp at Chautauqua Striders! Our mission as the United Ways of Chautauqua County is to mobilize the community to help every person and family improve their lives. We do this by investing in four strategic areas of focus: Academic Success, Health & Independence, a Ready Workforce and Self-Sufficiency. As one of our community partners, Chautauqua Striders receives funding from United Way for on-track tutoring as well as its mentoring & social emotional learning programs. Chautauqua Striders is helping youth in Chautauqua County to flourish. It was a treat to have this group of day camp attendees in our Jamestown office. For the craft project, the group converted t-shirts from our annual Girls In Sports day into no sew tie bags. ???????????? ???????? ???? ???????????????????? ????????????
