Great leaders don’t just build businesses—they build people. Reflecting on this morning’s incredible Virtue Voices event, and I’m walking away both challenged and inspired. I took a ton of notes today because there was so much wisdom shared, and I wanted to pass along just a few of the powerful takeaways. One of the most impactful leadership lessons was ???????? ??????????????????, ???????? ??????????????—a principle brilliantly conveyed by Tim Tassopoulos, recently retired President & COO of Chick-fil-A. As the fourth President of Chick-fil-A, Tim capped a remarkable 40-year career with the organization, and his insights in conversation with Chris Carneal this morning resonated deeply with a PACKED audience of servant-hearted leaders of all ages and backgrounds. Tim shared an incredible story about being entrusted with a major leadership opportunity at just 24 years old—leading Chick-fil-A’s expansion beyond mall food courts into freestanding locations. But what stood out most was where they placed his office—right between ?? Jimmy Collins (Retired President of Chick-fil-A, Inc.) AND Truett Cathy (Founder of Chick-fil-A) Truett and Jimmy didn’t just give Tim leadership—they empowered him while ensuring he had the support, guidance, and wisdom needed to succeed. A powerful example of believing in an emerging leader and investing in his growth. Tim emphasized that true leadership is about setting high expectations while also providing the trust, tools, and encouragement for people to thrive. Growth doesn’t happen in comfort—it happens when we are both challenged and supported in equal measure. Some key takeaways that stood out: ?? ???????? ??????????????????, ???????? ?????????????? – The best leaders stretch and empower their people. ?? ???????????? ???????? ???????????? – Leadership is about valuing the whole person, not just the role. ?? ?????? ?????? ?????????? ?????????? – The best leaders genuinely connect before they correct. ?? ?????????????????????? > ???????????? – The will to prepare is more important than the will to win (Coach K). ?? ?????????? ?????? ???????????? ?????????? – The best leaders make decisions that outlive them. Leadership isn’t just about the present—it’s about shaping the future, leading with a multi-generational mindset, and ensuring the impact we make today ripples into future generations. A huge thank you to Chris Carneal and the Booster team for creating this space where leaders can convene, connect, and grow together. The energy in the room today was electric. It’s clear that virtue-based leadership is more needed than ever. Lets keep developing leaders worth following! #Leadership #DevelopingLeaders #VirtueVoices #ServantLeadership #Community #ElevateHumanityThroughBusiness #BusinessAsAForceForGood #ConsciousCapitalism #FaithDrivenLeadership

Heading somewhere this weekend and want something to listen to? Well, check out B Local Georgia's latest podcast episode featuring Marie B. Davis of the Georgia Center for Employee Ownership (GACEO). She breaks down everything you've always wanted to know about employee ownership models and why companies are making this shift. And I was blown away to find out that these companies span industries, regions, and even the blue collar/white collar divide. They really are a great democratizer of capital and an incredible talent retention tool. Check it out wherever you get your favorite podcasts (look up B The Change Georgia) or by clicking here: https://lnkd.in/etKjaAEA Oh, and please leave us a rating. Our production team at Chat With Leaders Media puts a ton of love into this show, and we'd love to get these incredible episodes and voices of leadership in front of even more listeners.

After rounds of feedback and countless edits, I present to you a thing I wrote. I scribbled down a lot of thoughts over the past couple of months and filed them away for being too angry, too bitter, too divisive, too snarky, too "not good enough." This is the final finished product, a combination of all of the writings, and a culmination of all of the frustration, anger, and despair I've felt, combined with the faith and hope we need to keep going. Thank you to everyone who provided me with a set of eyeballs, and that took the time to make some important edits. Your contributions to this piece are valued (I think I incorporated almost all of them). Whether you agree or disagree, I hope you value my opinion as I value you yours. And I hope you'll join me and so many others out there with their sleeves rolled up.

?? What do people want most from their leaders? Gallup’s latest global study across 52 countries found that the top leadership trait people seek isn’t power, intelligence, or charisma—it’s ????????. Here are a couple stats I found intersting in their study: ?? 56% of respondents identified hope as the most important leadership quality ?? Most people (57%) say a family member has the most positive influence on their daily life—far above political, business, or religious leaders This hit home for me because my own dad—now retired and off the grid when it comes to LinkedIn—is still one of the most influential leaders in my life. He sent me this article with a reminder of a leadership mantra he lived by in his professional life: ?? "Frame reality and leave them with hope." It’s a simple but profound lesson. In a time when trust in most of our institutional leadership is low, we all have an opportunity to be the kind of leader that inspires hope—whether in our families, workplaces, or other communities of influence. Shoutout to the everyday leaders out there (like our moms and dads) instilling servant leadership values that last a lifetime. You may not have a professional leadership title, but your influence is shaping the next generation of hopeful leaders. #Leadership #Hope #GallupStudy #ServantLeadership
