The music industry is witnessing a transformative shift, with independent music now claiming over 40% of the global market share, valued at $30 billion—and projected to grow to $45 billion by 2029. A key player in this evolution? Community labels. Community labels are redefining what it means to represent artists in music. Investing in passion and potential, these entities are developing artists in ways that resonate with both their craft and their fans. Community label owner Simon J Karis of Nice Music Label shares, “I really am offering a catered scenario to each artist,” Karis tells Chartmetric. “No two setups look the same. [But] I try to describe to artists from the start that it is a collaboration."
