We had a great time at the International Women's Day Celebration event held at the Groton Community Center this week. Here's to celebrating women and their amazing achievements!

To celebrate the upcoming Teacher Appreciation Week in May, Charter Oak would like to show our appreciation to our local teachers by giving baskets of school supplies and surprise goodies for the staff. We need your help! Nominate your favorite teacher and in a sentence or two tell us why he/she is your favorite. We will take all nominations and randomly draw one teacher from one elementary school, one middle school and one high school. - Comment below with the teacher's name, the school and 1-2 sentences telling us why you picked this teacher. Only one teacher nomination per person. - The school MUST be located in either New London County or Windham County. - Submit your nomination by 5:00 pm on April 21st and winners will be announced the week of the 24th.

There's still time to submit your application for our 2025 Scholarship program! Deadline to apply is Wednesday, March 12th. We will be awarding $2,000 scholarships to 50 deserving high school and college students in New London and Windham counties! https://lnkd.in/eHcqkCY

Charter Oak's Trailblazers celebrated Valentine's Day by handing out roses to the residents and clients of Norwich's Sheltering Arms and Ross Adult Day Center. Thank you to Montville Florist for the beautiful roses and to Sheltering Arms for the opportunity to brighten everyone's day!

Thank you for your donations to United Way of Southeastern Connecticut's 2025 Soup-er Bowl Canned Food Drive benefitting the Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Center! Your generosity helped us collect 84 cans...21 for the Chiefs and 63 for the Eagles!

Our Branch Manager, Andrew Fitch, presented a Financial Literacy program at Griswold High School this past week. There were approximately 35 students from the junior class in attendance. Andrew reviewed how debit cards work, various deposit options, and how to establish credit. Students even learned how to write out a check! Thank you Griswold High School for having us!
