??Seemingly narrow CMS decisions can have big downstream effects. While different stakeholders may have varying perspectives on the recent Medicare telehealth updates, one thing everyone can agree on is the need for certainty in public policy to make timely decisions and move forward. For example, CMS’s decision to make audio-only telehealth permanent is a step in the right direction, but questions remain around critical policies, such as reporting requirements for telehealth providers and virtual supervision of residents.
